The 2018 production is directed by Matt August and choreographed by Bob Richard based on the original choreography by John DeLuca and originally created by 3-time Tony Award® winning director, Jack O’Brien. At Founders’ Park in Anaheim, the history of Orange County’s citrus-packing houses and Victorian Christmas traditions are celebrated at the Victorian Christmas Open House on Dec. 10. The historic Woelke-Stoffel House is a two-story Queen Anne built in 1894 during Anaheim’s citrus era and is named for the two earliest families that lived in it. The holiday cheer also spreads to Despicable Me Minion Mayhem and Super Silly Funland, where the Merry Minions will be spreading cheer. The Grinch has taken up residence in a Yorba Linda home on 5792 Grandview Street that features scenes from the Jim Carey movie.
The display has 65 custom-made props with almost 50,000 lights. The interactive display also has a couple of buttons marked “do not press” – when pressed they dump the Grinch into a trash barrel and fire shoots out of the back of a sleigh. A neighborhood in Fullerton is so popular that simply typing, “sparkleball” into Google Maps will direct you to streets full of lit-up balls hanging from trees to drive through. Seuss Landing will be decked out in festive Grinchmas decorations throughout and the Grinchmas Who-liday Spectacular show takes place here as well.
